In an interview with Dezeen, Antonelli stated that the arrival of the first 3D-printed gun last year changed her perception of the discipline.
“When the gun was released as an open-source project and produced through 3D printing, I was shocked. Suddenly my vision of design as something positive for the masses was shaken. I used to think of design as a benign force, but obviously not all design serves the common good, and we would be naïve to believe so.”
