Dewing, director of the Geffrye Museum in London and a former furniture designer trained at Ravensbourne, has expressed concern for the future of British Design.
“You are looking for an education that is more computer-based and less about hands-on learning,” he notes. “The worry is that if you disconnect the Design process too much from the process of making, you end up with lower-quality products.”
